Even though Dillon Guy is a freshman at Buffalo University, he is far from inexperienced.
The offensive lineman who stands 6β5 and weighs 320 pounds has played for Canadaβs World team and was chosen as a captain. Guy also was a first team all-star and lineman of the year during is one year at Champlain College.
[PAGE][/PAGE]βI look forward to every game as itβs a privilege to be one of few to play division one football,β said Dillon Guy. βI always have some part of my game to improve on and that’s what the coaches are here for to make sure I am prepared for every game.β
What brought Guy to Buffalo was the coaching staff put together by head coach Jeff Quinn. βThe choice for me to go to buffalo was the coaching. Seeing what coach Quinn did at Central Michigan and Cincinnati, I knew I was going to a great program,β said Guy. Quinn has coached division one football for 26 years and replaced Turner Gill in 2009 as the head coach at Buffalo University after Gill left for Kansas.
Guy is a bit of a history buff considering that is his major and would one day like to be able to teach. βCurrently I am study history as my major and looking into a minor in education as I want to pursue teaching after my football days are done,β said Guy.
Buffalo hasnβt had the greatest start to the season only winning one of five games. They have had a tough schedule so fare playing Pittsburgh in early September and road game against SEC powerhouse Tennessee. A game that Guy has had circled on his calendar.
βOne of the teams I enjoyed playing against was Tennessee as it was a great experience playing against such a prestigious program.β
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
