Business as Usual for Okanagan Sun: Accepting coaching applications

The Okanagan Sun is currently accepting head coach applications. A coaching selection committee has been formed which will review all applicants. At this time the club has set no firm deadline as to when the new coach will be in place, although it is hoped this will be achieved within a month’s time.

In the meantime, it will be business as usual for the 2011 on field preparations.
General manager Howie Zaron will be continuing his recruiting duties, along with the assistance of offensive coordinator Tony Lindsay and defensive coordinator Jason Casey.

Jason Casey will be acting as interm head and will be overseeing Sunday training sessions.

Team manager Ray Wheatley, running back coach Don Richmond, offensive line coach Paul Carson and defensive line coach Jamie Klassen will also be staying on staff and continuing their off season coaching duties at least until the new head coach is hired.

All coaching inquiries can be sent in confidence to Bill Long @ [email protected].
