Calgary Dinos made good impression on commit

Dinos adds another local commit to their Class of 2018.

George Idoko, a defensive end from St. Francis High School, has had a firsthand look at how the University of Calgary Dinos play, and he liked what he saw in his new school.

“I was impressed with the football program and the commitment they have to succeed,” the product of Calgary, Alberta, said. “The coaches are people with a lot of experience and they have good relationships with players.”

Idoko is interested in either science or business. He is 6’3, 200lbs and spent his high school days with the St. Francis Browns (Calgary High School Athletic Association). He played one year of midget football with the Calgary Cowboys (Calgary Area Midget Football Association). Last season, he won a city championship with the Cowboys. He was also a midget all-star. In grade 10, he was named as the Browns’ defensive line MVP.
