Calgary Midget (CAMFA) Div 2 Semi Finals: Fire & Bulldogs victories sets up great final

Calgary Midget Football League division 2 semi-final hilites:

FIRE 42 VS WILDCATS 32

Fire: Tyler Ledwos was unstoppable scoring 1 Rushing TD off a well played reverse and 1 Receiving TD over the middle to give the Fire 10 point cushions twice in the 4th quarter.
Fire: Scott Pearson played a great game throwing the ball effectively while making several plays with his legs allowing for the offense to consistently finish drives
Fire: Bryce Fisher was great on defense continually stuffing the run
Fire: #27 sealed the game with a Rushing TD with 55 sec remaining

Wildcats: Ben Kopczynski played his best game of the season Passing for 3 TDs and Rushing for 1 TD. Kopczynski was excellent down the stretch as he twice answered Fire TDs with a full field drive that resulted in TDs.
Wildcats: Misha Drury capped off his breakout year with a Pick 6 and another overall solid defensive effort
Wildcats: Jackson Bokenfohr made a great diving catch for 1 Receiving TD late in the 4th quarter to bring the Cats to within 3 of the Fire
Wildcats: Jags Bahia scored 1 Receiving TD
Wildcats: Nate Tiemstra had 1 Receiving TD
Wildcats: Micah Teitz had plenty of big hits while Ryan Baker played great in coverage in spite of a questionable PI call in the end zone late
Wildcats: As it has been the case all season for the Cats, late in a tight game they make a big mistake that potentially costs them the game. With the score 35-32 with 2:22 remaining in the game, the Cats force a 3rd down punt. During the punt however a Cats player makes significant contact with the Kicker, as he is kicking the ball 40 yards, causing an immediate 1st down in what was the turning point of the game.

BULLDOGS 48 VS BRONCOS 9

Bulldogs: In what was a lopsided victory from the start, the Dogs used a great offensive attack along with constant pressure on defense to completely dismantle the Broncos
Bulldogs: Ben Lane was the star of the game for the Bulldogs. Lane scored 3 Rushing TDs as he ran at will
Bulldogs: Liam McCorquodale was fantastic tossing 4 TD Passes
Bulldogs: Brad Taubert played big reeling in 2 Receiving TDs
Bulldogs: Brady Hornung chipped in with 1 Receiving TD
Bulldogs: Truman Wilson scored a late Receiving TD
Bulldogs: Robert Barnett played well with 1 INT and great coverage throughout the game
Bulldogs: Ian Ojeks was very disruptive racking up 2 Sacks

Broncos: It was a rough evening for the Broncos as they got down big early which seamed to take the wind from their sails going forward
Broncos: Julien Barnett had 1 Receiving TD late in the game
Broncos: Bailey Wasdal was pressured often not allowing him to get in to any type of flow. Wasdal finished with 1 Passing TD
Broncos: The defense had a rough evening as the Bulldogs had too many answers
