Position: Assistant Coaches and Support Staff, National Womenβs Tackle Football Team
Job Description:
Participate in the 2013 IFAF World Womenβs Tackle Football Championship.
The selected candidates will be responsible in providing a positive experience through their leadership of a competitive womenβs football program that values respect, teamwork and achievement.
Assistant Coaching and Support Staff Selection
All of these positions are subject to approval by the Director of Sport.
For the support staff positions of Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager, the General Manager and Head Coach are free to select the individuals; providing that they have training and certification in their areas or expertise mainly in the case of Athletic Therapist.
Candidates for Assistant Coaching Staff (maximum of 9 members) must meet the following criteria to be selected and provide documentation of the following:

[*] Must be a Canadian Resident
[*]Must be a member of Football Canada via their Provincial Association. If they are not currently associated with a member team in their province they may take out Associate Membership with their PSO to meet the criteria but cannot take out Football Canada membership directly.
[*]Must be a fully certified NCCP Level II Coach in football or have completed the block for the position they are applying for in the new Intro to Comp. Must have coached at an elite level (i.e. CFL, CIS, CJFL or womenβs football) for at least a two year period or high school/midget for a ten year period. Must have experience coaching women at an elite level.
[*]Must provide a reference letter from their immediate superior on the team that they currently coach (i.e. Head Coach, High School Principal, University President, Athletic Director, Junior Team President) to be kept on file at the Football Canada office.
[*]Must meet the Regional Representation Requirements (see below)
[*]Must have a valid criminal check
[*]Must participate in team fundraising events

Mentor Coach Selection
The βMentor Coachesβ (minimum of 3) they must meet the following criteria to be selected.

[*]Must be a Canadian Resident
[*]Must be a member of Football Canada via their Provincial Association. If they are not currently associated with a member team in their province they may take out Associate Membership with their PSO to meet the criteria but cannot take out Football Canada membership directly.
[*]Must have completed the Intro to competition clinic or be registered for Intro to competition clinic by February 29th (must participate in clinic prior to April 28th) to be considered as a mentor for the Challenge Cup in August.
[*]Identified mentors planning on continuing to the World Championship in 2013 must have Introduction to Competition completed and have Competition Development started by the event
[*]Must provide a reference letter from their immediate superior of the team that they currently play on or coach (i.e. Head Coach, High School Principal, University President, Athletic Director, Junior Team President) to be kept on file at the Football Canada office.
