The city will honour its best athletes & teams on Nov. 4 at the 38th annual Cambridge Sports Awards banquet.

With a record of 10-1 they became the first Ontario Varsity Football League team from Cambridge to bring home the provincial crown. Highlighted by three players – Braden Hill, Kaden Jesperson and Dan Sipes – setting OVFL records, this team was full of talent.

They boasted the province’s top defence and the third-ranked offence, and were known as the most complete team around.

In the final, the Lions beat the Ottawa Myers Riders 28-21, overcoming a 14-point first half deficit.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
