Cambridge Wolverines Head Into Playoffs


The Southern Ontario Football Association of Leagues (SOFAL) finished their regular season last weekend with Cambridge Wolverine teams going a combined 7-3.

In the Tyke Division the Red Wolverines won 19-6 to cap off a perfect regular season with an 8-0 record. They combined with the 6-1 Green Wolverines to finish 1-2 in the Division, both teams getting a BYE into the second round of the playoffs. The Gold Wolverines finished further down the pack and will play Hamilton this weekend.

In the Atom Red Division Cambridge Wolverines finished the season with a loss to finish in fifth. They play in Brampton at noon on Sunday.

The Atom White Division the Wolverines lost a close game to Hamilton-Wentworth 18-14. They end the season with 5-2-1 record to finish in second place. They have a BYE this weekend.

The Peewee Red Division Wolverines finished in third seed after defeating Guelph 28-12. They play the Twin Cities Warhawks this weekend. In the White Division the Green Wolverines defeated Twin Cities Purple Warhawks 20-0 to finish in second. They play Halton this weekend. The Gold Wolverines defeated Guelph 8-0 to finish in fifth. They draw the Purple Warhawks this weekend.

In the Bantam White Division the Green Wolverines had a 28-7 win over Brantford to move up to fourth seed. The Gold’s lost to Hamilton Wentworth to finish in sixth place. Both teams have a BYE week this week.
