Canada West coaches poll picks Calgary to win

The University of Calgary Dinos were picked in a pre-season poll of Canada West head coaches to finish first in the six-team football conference this season.

Voting was conducted on a 7-5-3-2-1 points system.

Coaches couldn’t vote for their own teams. Calgary received five first-place votes and the Saskatchewan Huskies got one.

The Dinos totalled 35 points, followed by the Huskies (27), Manitoba Bisons (15), UBC Thunderbirds (13), Rams, and Alberta Golden Bears (7).

Regina plays Manitoba Friday, 7 p.m., at Mosaic Stadium.
Alberta plays UBC Saturday, 1 p.m., at Thunderbird Stadium
Calgary play Saskatchewan Saturday, 7 p.m., at McMahon Stadium

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
