UBC Thunderbirds
The Thunderbirds found success in Ontario with Ottawa native QB Alex La Vecchia continuing his football journey with UBC.
โUBC just felt right ever since my first interaction with them,โ he states. โIโve had many talks with all sorts of universities in U Sports since Iโve started my recruiting process and UBC has always stood out as the classiest and best fit for myself.โ
Over the years, La Vecchia has played quarterback for the Bel-Air Norsemen and Myers Riders Football Club. In his first season as a starter, the young pivot completed 65% of his passes, while scoring 23 touchdowns and throwing for over 2200 yards.
โMy goals for the new team: Iโm still relatively new to the game and a bit underweight,โ he states. โI have a 5-year plan in mind as I believe planning leads to success.โ
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
