University of Manitoba

A local product has signed with the Manitoba Bisons. Garden City’s CFC100 WR Ryan Bruneau has committed to the Herd.

Ryan is a 6’2, 185lbs wide receiver/athlete. He has spent the last four years with the Garden City Gophers (WHSFL) and also has worked out with Recruit Ready. The Manitoba Bisons inked their latest recruit on October 30th, 2021.

University of Regina

The Regina Rams have signed the potential future of their defensive line. CFC100 DE Toryn Swystun-Bernes is one of the newest commits for Rams.

Toryn picked Regina because of the great coaching staff and very welcoming environment. “It was the team that felt the most like home and the education is exactly what I was looking for,” he replies. “The Rams were the place I could best see my future and success.”

When Toryn moves on to university he will be taking business administration/sports management.

Toryn began his football journey with the Martensville Maddogs (KMF). Toryn is currently finishing his high school football with the Martensville Royals (SHSAA). On October 21st, 2021, Toryn Swystun-Bernes became a member of the Regina Rams.

The University of Regina is pleased to welcome a commit from Saskatoon. OT Kirk Simonsen will join the Rams in 2022 after spending time in junior football with the Saskatoon Hilltops (CJFL).

Kirk is an offensive lineman that stands at 6’5, 260lbs. He will be studying kinesiology and health studies and committed to the Regina Rams on October 14th, 2021.

University of Saskatchewan

The University of Saskatchewan Huskies have made an addition to their offense. WR Xander Pierce has agreed to join the team for the 2022 campaign.

“I chose the university of Saskatchewan because it is close to home, has a beautiful campus, and a very good football program,” he states.

Xander will be enrolling in the faculty of education in hopes of becoming a teacher. The 6’1, 175lbs wide receiver grew up playing football in the Lloydminster Minor Football Association (LMFA) before going to Lloydminster Comprehensive High School. Xander has also spent 5 years with the Saskatchewan Selects.

On October 23rd,2021 Xander signed with the University of Saskatchewan.
