Carabins offer competition for commit

The Carabins add a local commit to their 2019 class.

When Isaac Auger, a defensive back from Collège André-Grasset, joins the University of Montréal, he is up for the challenge of being a Carabin.

“As a football player, I want to bring my game to the next level and there is no better way to do it than doing it with the best defence in the league,” he said. “It won’t be easy, but I don’t want easy. I want to compete against the best to improve my game and become part of the best.”

The 6’2, 200lbs athlete added that he believes the Carabins coaches played a big part in the success of the defence. “I’m all in with the coaching staff and I can’t wait to start working with them,” he said.

Auger, who will be attending HEC, the business school, is from Montréal, Québec. He spent three seasons with Les Patriotes de l’école secondaire Saint-Stanislas (RSEQ) and three with Les Phénix du Collège André-Grasset (RSEQ Division 1). In 2017 and 2018 he helped Les Phénix win a Bol d’Or.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
