Vancouver quarterback joins OUA team’s 2016 class.
Carleton Ravens have announced the addition of quarterback Giordy Belfiore.
Belfiore, the 6’4, 200 pound quarterback from Vancouver, British Columbia will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.
This past season, the pivot completed a stint with Canada Prep Raiders. Academically, Belfiore attained a 4.0 GPA.
Previous to the Raiders, Belfiore suited up for the Vancouver College Fighting Irish of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).
In 2014, Belfiore helped the Irish win the Archbishop’s Cup. For his efforts, he was named Game MVP.
“Getting Giordy helps our quarterbacking position not only next year but in the future,” commented Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah of the newest addition. “We are very excited that Giordy wants to be a part of the Ravens program.”
“He brings with him great credentials and having played at Canada Prep this past year he faced some very stiff competition. He is an extremely intelligent player, with good arm strength and mobility. This was a big piece in our recruiting for 2016 and we are very happy to welcome our newest Raven.”
