CEGEP DIVISION 1 RECAP (4): CNDF, Cougars remain undefeated, Conraud-Ares, #CFC100’s Cote & Parr shine in victories

#CFC100 CLASS 2015 Alexis Cote scored a touchdown and rushed for 105 yards on 19 carries as Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy (CNDF) remained perfect with a 21-9 victory over Andre Grasset Phenix in CEGEP Division 1 Week 4 action on Sunday.

Alexander Gailloux also tallied a major while Tchanga Henry Chadwick had 50 yards on six receptions in the win. Pivot David Pelletier completed 13 passes in 26 attempts for 151 yards and a passing touchdown. David Cote added two PATā€™s.

Alexandre Pare led the CNDF defense as he recorded a sack and registered seven tackles.Ā  Yvan Hakizimana added two solo and three assisted tackles while #CFC100 Jean Philippe Hudon chipped in with three solo tackles.Ā  Samuel Miranda-Bizeau recorded two sacks and Anthony Leclerc added a sack and caught an interception.Ā  Jerome Morisette had a sack as well.

As for the Phenix, #CFC100 CLASS 2015 Alex Campeau-Perrault completed 11 passes in 19 attempts for 167 yards and a rushing touchdown.Ā  Felix Menard racked up 73 yards on two receptions. Bradley Santos was successful on a conversion attempt.

On defense, Gabriel Morel registered six solo and seven assisted tackles in the loss.Ā  Bruno Philippe Desfosses Simard added four solo and nine assisted tackles.Ā  Benoit Marion hauled in six solo and five assisted tackles for the Phenix.

Guillame Conraud Ares

CHAMPLAIN-LENNOXVILLE COUGARS 32, VANIER CHEETAHS 10:

Guillaume Conraud-Ares tallied three majors, rushed for 142 yards on 22 carries and amassed 76 yards on three receptions as Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars kept their perfect record intact with a 32-10 thumping of Vanier Cheetahs on Saturday.

#CFC100 Marc Antoine Pivin also scored a touchdown for the Cougars.Ā  Michael Arruda completed 11 passes in 33 attempts for 190 yards and a passing touchdown in the win.Ā  Vincent Blanchard added a field goal and three PATā€™s.

Samuel Brodrique was a beast on the Cougars defence as he recorded two sacks as well as nine solo and five assisted tackles.Ā  Cheike Sidy Sow caught an interception, recorded a sack as well as eight solo and six assisted tackles.Ā  Alex Poirier chipped in with seven solo and six assisted tackles as well as an interception.Ā  #CFC100 Isaac Adeyemi-Bergland recorded a sack while Khadeem Pierre caught interceptions as well as Jeremie Berube, Conrod-Ares and Alexandre Lebreton added an interception.

Khaliel Kerr scored a touchdown for the Cheetahs.Ā  Ryth Jean Giraud rushed for 83 yards on 12 receptions. Louis Amoruso added a field goal.

MONTMORENCY NOMADES 29, LEVIS-LAUZON FAUCONS 25:

#CFC100 Eric Parr completed 14 passes in 25 attempts, 177 passing yards, 127 rushing yards on 13 carries, two passing touchdowns and a rushing major as the Montmorency Nomades got by Levis-Lauzon Faucons 29-25 on Saturday.

Felix Laflamme added a score and 121 yards on six receptions.Ā  Kevin Dubois tallied a major and rushed for 95 yards on 23 carries.Ā  Bruno Labelle also scored a touchdown and racked up 43 yards on five receptions for the Nomades. David Rompre was successful on three conversion attempts.

On defense, Raphael Ntumba-Muntu led the way with nine solo and four assisted tackles.Ā  Both Npinga Nehemie Tshisungu and Jean-Sebastien Rochon each added four solo and six assisted tackles for the Nomades.

Louis-Charles Moisan scored two touchdowns while Vincent Breton added a major for the Faucons.Ā  Joanik Masse rushed for 131 yards on 17 carries.

Francis Bois completed 13 passes in 24 attempts for 94 yards and three passing touchdowns in the loss. Hubert Cote added a field goal and three PATā€™s.

Raphael Faucher recorded a sack as well as eight solo and three assisted tackles.Ā  Jean Philippe Levesque added seven solo and four assisted tackles.Ā  Jeremie Verreault chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles while Pier-Luc Fortin recorded a sack in the loss.

LIMOILOU TITANS 21, VIEUX-MONTREAL SPARTIATES 17:

On Saturday, Gabriel Brault scored a receiving touchdown and rushed for 76 yards on nine receptions as Limoilou Titans escaped with a 21-17 victory over Vieux-Montreal Spartiates.

Christopher Charest added a 31 yard reception while Christophe Renaud added four field goals and two PATā€™s for the Titans.

On defense, Frederic Gagnon had six solo tackles. Anthony Guay recorded a sack as well as five solo and two assisted tackles.Ā  Charles-Olivier Michaud caught an interception while Olivier Paquet-Brisson added a sack in the win.

#CFC100 Frederic Paquette-Perrault completed 16 passes in 37 attempts for 180 yards and two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) for the Spartiates.Ā  Joel Soucy tallied a major and had 70 yards on three receptions.Ā  Dynell Pierre rushed for 205 yards on 29 carries in the loss. Benjamin Leis added three field goals and was successful on two conversion attempts.

Enock Makonzo registered five solo and eight assisted tackles to guide the Spartiates defense.Ā  Umar Temoor added five solo and four assisted tackles while Christopher Mbiya caught an interception.
