CEGEP DIVISION 1 RECAP (5): Pelletier & Arruda keep teams perfect, #CFC100’s Harelimana & Sandjong Djabome valiant in defeat

David Pelletier completed 20 passes in 30 attempts for 255 yards and a passing touchdown. as Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy remain perfect with a 41-14 win over Limoilou Titans in CEGEP Division 1 action at Seminaire Saint-Francois.

#CFC100 CLASS 2015 Alexis Cote scored two touchdowns and rushed for 71 yards on 16 carries. Ā Luca Perrier and Guillaume Vermette each tallied a major for CNDF.Ā  David Cote added a field goal and five PATā€™s in the win.

Alexandre Gailloux racked up 87 yards on four receptions.

#CFC100 Jean-Philippe Hudon recorded a sack as well as five solo and four assisted tackles to lead CNDF defence.Ā  Alexandre Pare chipped in with an assisted and six solo tackles.Ā  Yvan Hakizimana, Samuel Maranda-Bizeau, Antoine Kirouac, Jerome Morissette and Nathaniel Doyon-Simon each recorded a sack.

Under Friday Night Lights at Coulter Field, Michael Arruda completed 21 passes in 36 attempts for 273 yards and three touchdowns as the Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars kept their undefeated record intact with a 40-23 victory over FX-Garneau Elans.

#CFC100 Marc-Antoine Pivin tallied a major and rushed for 141 yards on nine carries.Ā  Guillaume Conraud-Ares scored a touchdown, rushed for 103 yards on 16 carries and 72 yards on six receptions in the win.Ā  Vincent Blanchard added a field goal and five PATā€™s.

On defence, Dominick Brazeau registered eight solo and four assisted tackles for the Cougars.Ā  Moreover, Alexandre LeBreton added seven solo as well as three assisted tackles while Alain Cimankinda had seven solo and two assisted tackles.Ā  #CFC100 Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund recorded a sack, an assisted and seven solo tackles. #CFC100 Adam Auclair and Khadeem Pierre each caught interceptions.

At College Notre Dame on Saturday night, the Vieux-Montreal Spartiates defeated the Montmorency Nomades 24-7.

Dynell Pierre rushed for 117 yards on 19 carries as well as 32 yards on three receptions.Ā  #CFC100 Federic Paquette-Perrault had a rushing major.

Julien Le GuĆ©hennec led the defence as he recorded a sack as well as an assisted and six solo tackles.Ā  #CFC100 Andrew Seinet-Spaulding and Enock Makonzo each had tackles for a loss. Furthermore, Momar Nbaye and Felix Pelletier each caught an interception for the Spartiates.

On Saturday night at Levis-Lauzon, Samuel Cameron scored two touchdowns and rushed for 201 yards on 11 carries as the hosts Faucons cruised to a 50-20 win over Vanier Cheetahs.

Nicolas Boissonneault, Jonathan Breton Robert and Vincent Breton Robert each tallied a major.Ā  Hubert Cote added five PATā€™s.

Francis Bois completed 22 passes in 41 attempts for 310 passing yards.

On defence, Jean Philippe Levesque was a beast as he amassed 11 solo and nine assisted tackles.Ā  As well, he had a tackle for a loss. Jeremie Verreault recorded three sacks while Raphael Faucher added one.Ā  Federic Marois and Ibrahima-Kalil Kourouma each caught an interception.

Shaquille St-Lot tallied a major for the Cheetahs. Louis Amoruso was successful on two conversion attempts.

At Edouard Montpetit on Saturday afternoon, Samuel Makwanda scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving), rushed for 119 yards on seven carries and racked up 87 yards on two receptions to propel the visiting Andre-Grasset Phenix to a 28-11 win over the Lynx.

Philippe Lemieux-Cardinal recorded two sacks and had three tackles for a loss on the Phenix defence.Ā  Bruno Lagace caught two interceptions while Xavier Marois recorded a sack.

On special teams, Bradley Santos added two field goals while Adam Masmoudi had three PATā€™s.

As for the Lynx, Thomas Concilio added three field goals.Ā  Rida Malki rushed for 94 yards on 18 carries and #CFC100 Samuel Sandjong Djabome led the defence with two sacks, five solo and two assisted tackles.Ā  Tommy Mercier and Jahson Lafontant-Denis each had a sack.
