CEGEP defensive lineman joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.
William Pettersen is looking forward to his reunion with Ron Hilaire.
The 5’11, 205 pound defensive linemen from Alma, Quebec has committed to the McGill Redmen. Pettersen will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.
Currently, Pettersen is finishing his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, FX-Garneau Elans. Moreover, the defensive standout was previously instructed by Redmen Head Coach Ron Hilaire at the 2013 Football Canada Cup in Moncton, New Brunswick as a member of Team Quebec.
“I chose to commit at McGill University because no one could bring me an opportunity like that,” explained Pettersen of his commitment. “They offer me the chance to grow as a student-athlete.”
“I am blessed to be part of 2016 recruitment with Ron as Head Coach because I’ve played for him back in Moncton for team Quebec and I know what he’s up to do with this team.”
