CEGEP receiver recently signs with RSEQ team
Eric Deschambault likes a rebuild.
Consequently, the 5β10, 195 pound wide receiver from Saint-Constant, Quebec has signed with the Concordia Stingers.Β Deschambault will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.
βOne of the reasons why I committed to Concordia is that I like the idea of being part of a team who is in reconstruction,β expressed the Quebec offensive standout of his decision. Β βThis is encouraging in that every individual would play a crucial role in the success of the team as a whole.β
βAnother reason for committing to Concordia University is that I appreciate the ambiance of the team. I’ve met many coaches and players and they all make you feel like they are really happy that you choose this program instead of another.β
Deschambault joins the Stingers after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 1 team, Edouard-Montpetit Lynx.Β Previous to CEGEP, he has also suited up for Diablos de la Magdeleine and Diablos de la Prairie. During his gridiron career, he has played many positions in addition to wide receiver including slotback as well as on special teams as a kick/punt return specialist.
Ultimately, Deschambault is energized by what the Stingers have accomplished under new leadership and is excited to see what will unfold during his time there.
βI only see positive things for the future of the Stingers family,β said the Quebec receiver.Β βThe Donovan brothers have done such a great job in only one year; I can’t even imagine where we will be at my last season with Concordia.β
βI can’t wait to play for them and the rest of the coaching staff. I anticipate wonderful experiences at Concordia University next season!β
