CEGEP recruit ecstatic to become new Stinger

Saint Jerome running back recently joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.

Alexandre Bouvrette is looking forward to the next chapter of his gridiron career.

Recently, the running back from Saint Jerome, Quebec signed with the Concordia Stingers. Bouvrette will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

β€œI’ve been talking a lot with Coach Pat (Donavan) before I visited the facilities at Concordia,” recalled Bouvrette. β€œMy first thought was that he seems to be a nice man.”

β€œBut when I went for the visit, it was clear that all the coaches that I met were very nice to me and afterΒ  Β I sat with Coach Pat, he talked to me about the programme and how bad they want to make it big! After I had a chance to sit with Coach Mickey [Donovan], he told me the same thing. These two brothers told me too that no one in the country cares more about their player than they do and I clearly trust them. I noticed the fire in their eyes it was just awesome, the passion that these two have for the sports it’s just amazing. All the coaching staff wants to improve the programme, and I want to be part of it. Also, the first thing they told me was the fact that they want to stay there for a long time and they will. I talked too with Mick Charland, a player of the team and he told me the players are hungry, are training hard and they have new goals.Β  It was clear to me that I want to be part of it. Now, I can’t be more happy and excited to be a Stinger and I will work hard for the big seasons.”

The Quebec running back joins the Stingers after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 3’s Saint Jerome Cheminots.
