CEGEP recruit has high expectations of McGill’s future potential (VIDEO)

CEGEP linebacker joins RSEQ tean’s 2016 class.

Philippe Ouellet has high expectations for the McGill Redmen in the near distant future.

So much so, that he wants to help them achieve greater heights.

The 6’4, 240 pound middle linebacker from Quebec City, Quebec has committed to the Redmen. Ouellet will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

“I chose McGill because I believe in Coach [Ron] Hilaire and his coaching staff,” explained Ouellet of his decision.  “I think that McGill may be on the top again in a couple of years.”

Academics played a significant role in his decision to opt for the Redmen.

“Also because it is the best university in Canada and I am a student before an athlete,” added the Quebec defensive standout.  “The academic part has always been important for me.”

“For my future career, McGill was the best choice I could do because it gives me the opportunity to improve my English while studying in world renowned university.”

Previous to the Elans, the defensive standout suited up for RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s Roger Comptois Patriots.
