CEGEP recruit hopes for upward progression with Carabins

CEGEP linebacker joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class

Wilfredo Munoz will remain in his home province as he moves on to play at the CIS level.

Recently, the 5’11, 197 pound linebacker from Les Cedres committed to the Montreal Carabins. Munoz will join the RSEQ team for the 2016 season.

β€œI committed to Montreal because my family is close and I really appreciate their support,” explained Munoz of his decision.Β  β€œThe football program is really interesting.”

β€œI like the way how the coaching staff pay attention to the details to help the player progress. I have no doubt that I’ll be a better player if I put effort in this team.”

This past season, Munoz played his final season with CEGEP Division 2 team, Valleyfield Noir et Or.Β  In 2015, the linebacker registered 29 tackles, 21 assisted tackles, recorded two sacks, had five tackles for a loss and had a tipped pass.

Previous to the Noir et Or, Munoz suited up for the Cite-des-Jeunes Citadins.
