CEGEP recruit hopes to excel at Bishop’s

Sherbrooke slotback recently joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.

When he made his final decision, Bechir Janfaoui chose a place he felt comfortable with to begin his CIS career.

Recently, the 5’8, 170 pound slotback/wide receiver from Sherbrooke, Quebec signed with the Bishop’s Gaiters.Β  Janafaoui will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

β€œI committed to Bishop because it’s a campus that is familiar to me and they helped me a lot when I was in Champlain as a Cougar,” explained Janafaoui is his decision.Β  β€œI knew that by going to Bishop’s, they will help me to achieve my goals.”

β€œI’m pretty excited to play for the Head Coach Kevin Mackey, who is a good friend of my previous Head Coach, J-F Joncas and has so much respect for him.

Janfaoui comes to the Gaiters after completing his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars.Β  In seven games, the offensive standout racked up 373 yards on and scored five touchdowns (average of 24.9 yards per catch).Β  Moreover, he rushed for 49 yards on six carries (average of 8.2 yards per carry).
