While it was not an easy decision as he whittled down the finalists to the Vert et Or and Montreal Carabins, he could not resist the offer to realize a childhood dream of playing for his local team.

“The reason I chose Sherbrooke is that I am originally from Sherbrooke so I wanted to represent my hometown,” elaborated Halle.  “Also, when I was a kid, I made the minor Vert et Or team and we had the chance to be coached by college players we admired so much so I always thought that one day I’d finally get into this team.”

“During my visit to the University of Sherbrooke’s sports complex with the coaches, I identified many positives with this team. This program is very well structured both on the sporting side (workouts, practices) and on the academic side. Furthermore, the dynamics and team spirit of the guys in the team is great. I felt in my place from the beginning!”

This past fall with CEGEP Division 2 team Sherbrooke Volontaires, the defensive lineman amassed 40.5 tackles, recorded seven sacks, 10 tackles for a loss and an interception.

Prior to the Volontaires, Halle suited up for RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 team, Triolet Harfangs.
