CEGEP recruit liked Vert et Or’s “evolution in the past few years”

St-Hilaire receiver joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.

This past winter, Anthony Brisebois didn’t hesitate any further when it came to his future on the gridiron and in the classrom.

The 6’0, 190 pound receiver from St-Hilaire, Quebec signed with Sherbrooke Vert et Or.  Brisebois will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

One of the main reasons the offensive standout chose the Vert et Or was the warm reception he received from players and coaches.

“My choice to go to Sherbrooke was made after meeting with Coach (David) Lessard and Coach (Mathieu) Pronovost,” recalled Brisebois.  “I was very well received by players and coaches of the team.”

“I was fortunate to be well-informed about the university and I was able to meet teachers from my program. Their administration program is a great one, which is a great opportunity to go to school for the coming years.”

Additionally, the Vert et Or provided the best situation for Brisebois to excel in all aspects of his career and life.

“After some meetings with Coach Mathieu Pronovost, I thought the best place to continue my academic and athletic path was at the University of Sherbrooke,” said the receiver.  “The evolution of the football program in the past few years was also a factor that made my decision easier.”

“The coaching staff seems to be really present for players and really works hard for the organization, just like the players on the team.”

During his final season with Sherbrooke Volontaires who compete in CEGEP Division 2, Brisebois amassed 516 yards on 26 receptions and five touchdowns.
