Beloeil linebacker recently joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.
Louis-Jean Guimond was looking for an opportunity to excel at the CIS level and beyond.
The 5ā11, 240 pound linebacker/longsnapper from Beloeil, Quebec found it as he signed with the Concordia Stingers.Ā Guimond will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.
āI chose Concordia because they promote family spirit as the most important thing,ā explained the Quebec linebacker of his decision. āPlayers and coaches seem to be very close to each other and that is the most important thing for me.ā
āThey were also a very competitive team last year. I think Concordia will be a very good team in the next five years and can aspire for a championship. I want to be a part of this rebuilding project and I think that Concordia is the best place to help me go to the next level.ā
Recently, Guimond completed a stint with CEGEP Division 1ās Edouard-Montpetit Lynx.Ā This past season, he finished ninth in the division for tackles with 53 (45 solo, 16 assisted.Ā Additionally, the linebacker recorded a sack, caught two interceptions and a batted pass.
