CEGEP recruit ready to make sacrifices for Carabins

CEGEP linebacker signs with RSEQ team.

Jeremy Morissette wanted to go to a CIS program with a winning attitude.

Consequently, the 6’1, 215 pound linebacker from St. Bruno, Quebec committed to the Montreal Carabins.Β  Morissette will join the Vanier Cup Champions for the 2015 RSEQ season.

β€œI committed to Montreal because I like the way the coaches and players think; I like their mentality,” explained the linebacker of his decision.Β  β€œEverybody’s focused on winning and they are ready to do any sacrifice to reach this goal.”

β€œI also know the coaches and have no doubt they will help me become a better player.”

Morissette completed a stint with CEGEP Division 1’s Andre-Grasset Phenix.Β  This past season, he caught an interception, recorded a sack as well as registered 51.5 tackles and eight tackles for a loss. For his efforts, he was selected as a CEGEP Division 1 All-Star.

Previous to the Phenix, the linebacker suited up for RSEQ Juvenile Division 1B’s Charles-Lemoyne Dynamics.
