CEGEP recruit realizes dream with Vanier Cup Champions

CEGEP defensive back signs with RSEQ team.

Philippe Angers is about to embark on a childhood dream.

Recently, the 6’0, 205 pound defensive back from Boucherville, Quebec signed with Vanier Cup Champions, Montreal Carabins.  Angers will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

“I’ve always wanted to play for this team, since I was very young,” expressed the Quebec defensive back. “I have made a lot of mini football camps there when I was a lot younger, and I loved the team spirit.”

“The football program is very organized and the coaching is great. They look demanding, and it motivates me to work even harder. Also, the HEC is a really good school in administration, the program I intend to go.”

Angers completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Edouard-Montpetit Lynx.  This past season, he registered 36.5 tackles, caught an interception and deflected three passes.  Previous to the Lynx, Angers suited up for his high school team, RESQ Juvenile Division 1B’s Charles-Lemoyne Dynamiques.
