Quebec City defensive back joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class

Charles-Antoine Theriault wants to be part of positive change with hopefully will translate into success.

Recently, the 5’8, 175 pound defensive back from Quebec City has committed to Concordia Stingers. Theriault will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

“i am very glad to be part of the Stingers program,” expressed Theriault about his decision. Ā “I chose this program because I can see all the changes in the last three years and I want to be part of this!”

“I feel like the team is taking a huge turn and i just want to be part of the next Vanier Cup win in Concordia! When I came on a visit at Concordia, I instantly felt in love with the program and how the philosophy of the coaches!Ā Coach Pat [Donovan] and Coach Mark [Calixte] are just incredible! the are taking care of us in and of the field and to feel this type of love from your coaches is just incredible! I really feel that Concordia is justĀ starting their way to the top.”

Additionally, education played a prominent role in Theriault’s decision.

“Academics are realy important for me too and the programe of buisness at JMSB is one of the best so I think it’s the best choice for me to continue my studies there,” said the defensive standout.

This past season, Theriault had to overcome adversity as he returned back to CEGEP Division 1 team FX-Garneau Elans after recovering from a torn ACL injury. Ā Upon his return, the defensive back had to compete to get a starting positon. He was successful in achieving that goal and ended the 2015 season with three tackles for a loss, four forced fumbles and a safety.

His most recent testing results are as follows:Ā 4.68 40 yard dash and13 reps at 225 lbs on bench press.
