CÉGEP10 (coll. div. 1) RANKINGS (10): Final regular season rankings are in with playoffs on the horizon

1. Ch.-Lennoxville Cougars (8-1)André-Grasset Phénix (8-1)
We weren’t sure which of the top teams to rank first going into the playoffs, but with defence in mind, Champlain deserves to be the favourites going into any playoff scenario.

2. André-Grasset Phénix (8-1)
Grasset seem to like getting into shootouts, and they survived another one against CNDF, but they’ll need to solve some issues on defence if they want to bring home the Bol D’or.

3. Lévis-Lauzon Faucons (7-2)
The Faucons were coming off a rough loss, but they left no doubt about where they stand going into the playoffs with another blowout victory over Vieux Montréal.

4. Vanier Cheetahs (7-2)
It wasn’t as impressive as the win above, but Vanier were able to stay on track heading into the playoffs, and really any of these top four teams can end up winning it all if they get hot at the right time.

5. Notre-Dame-de-Foy (5-4)
CNDF was finally back on the winning trail, and but they couldn’t out duel Grasset in a wild shootout type game. Still, the game was a good sign that they can still be competitive with the top ranked teams.

6. Vieux Montréal Spartiates (4-5)
Really not the way you want to enter the playoffs coming off a clear blowout loss, but the Spartiates are probably the most unpredictable team that none of the top tier squad would like to face in a one game scenario.

7. Limoilou Titans (3-6)
The Titans started the year off with a lot of promise, which is why they’re still going to the playoffs, but they’re going to need to pick their socks up if they want to do anything against Champlain in their first round matchup.

8. Saint-Jean Géants (1-8)
The best news all year for Saint-Jean came in the final week with their win over Montmorency, and now they have the privilege of riding a one game winning streak into next season.

9. Garneau Élans (1-8)
It was tough to sort out these bottom three teams, but Garneau deserves credit for finishing off as strong as possible despite coming out on the losing end in the last seven games.

10. Montmorency Nomades (1-8)
The Nomades spent some time climbing in the rankings, but their final resting place is in the basement after failing to beat Saint-Jean in the season finale.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
