Matthew Norzil, CEGEP AAA top receiver, just informed CFC that he has committed to attending Laval University in 2011. Norzil, who broke CEGEP league records for TD catches (15) and yardage (976), will join Vanier teammates Byron Archambault and Alexandre Lefebvre-Tardif at the Quebec school in 2011.
The 6’1″ 180 lbs speedster was considered the top receiver prospect in Quebec this season. It was believed that Anthony Thompson and Matthew would attend schools together, but when Anthony committed to UCLA, Matthew and Anthony had to go their separate ways. Nozril was also considering Montreal and St Mary’s.
