CFC 100 CLASS 2015: The “BIG” 10 – 2.0 Edition (VIDEO)

Not only is it the beginning of a fall high school season but it marks the release of the 2nd Edition of CFC 100 Class 2015.

With this second list, CanadaFootballChat.com would like to introduce you with those players that are ranked in the TOP 10. Here is the “BIG 10”:

Neville Gallimore

1)      (1) NEVILLE GALLIMORE, 6’3, 280 – DE (ONTARIO)

The 6’3, 280 pound defensive end from Ottawa, Ontario has taken the top spot in the CFC 100 for the second consecutive time.  Since February 20th, he has nabbed over 20 NCAA Division 1 offers including from Oklahoma, Cincinnati, California, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Nevada, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rice, South Florida, TCU, UCLA, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.

Wesley Annan

2)      (2) WESLEY ANNAN, 6’4 280 – DL (ONTARIO)

The 6’4, 280 pound defensive lineman from Whitby, Ontario is currently attending Lake Forest Academy in Illinois.  Already, he has upwards of eighteen offers including ones from Bowling Green, Illinois, Syracuse, Brown, Maryland, Boston College, New Mexico and Duke.

His latest offer came on August 4th from Virginia Cavaliers.

Among the teams Annan has previously suited up north of the border include the Toronto Thunder of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and the Donald A Wilson Gators of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA).

Harper

3)      (3) HARPER SHERMAN, 6’4.5 270 – OL (BRITISH COLUMBIA)

After receiving several NCAA offers, the 6’4.5, 270 pound offensive lineman from New Westminster, British Columbia announced on August 1st that he verbally committed to the Arizona Wildcats for the 2015 season.

Among the others he received included ones from Wyoming, Oregon State, California, Nevada, UTEP, Washington State, Wyoming and San Diego State.

Sherman has played for the New Westminster Hyacks of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).  This past season, the lineman was selected as a BCHSFA Western Conference All-Star and a British Columbia AAA all-star.

Jonathan Femi-Cole Minn visit

4)      (5) JONATHAN FEMI-COLE, 5’11, 218 – RB (ONTARIO)

During a visit, the 5’11, 218 pound running back from Vaughan Ontario committed to NCAA Division 1 team, University of Minnesota Gophers on July 19th.

Back on February 20th, the Gophers were the first school that offered the CFC 100 back. Femi-Cole received other offers from the University of Buffalo Bulls and the University of Nevada Wolfpack.

Currently, Femi-Cole is suiting up for his high school team, St. Andrew’s College Saints of the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA). Femi-Cole began his football career in grade nine for the St. Joan of Arc Thunder of the York Region Athletic Association (YRAA); he was instantaneously hooked on the sport.

The Ontario offensive standout moved on to have a successful career with the Newmarket Bucs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).  During his time with the Bucs, he was honoured for his exceptional play on the field with Player of the Week, OVFL Offensive Player MVP honours as well as an OVFL All-Star selection.

Mathieu Betts

5)      (4) MATHIEU BETTS, 6’3 245 – DE (QUEBEC)

The 6’3, 245 pound defensive end from Lasalle, Quebec was named CEGEP Division 1 Defensive Player of the Year and selected as a CEGEP Division 1 All-Star for his play with the Vieux-Montreal Spartiates.

Other teams Betts has previously suited up for include RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s Notre-Dame Cactus and Lasalle Warriors.

Louis Mathieu Normandin Week 4 CEGEP

6)      (6) LOUIS-MATHIEU NORMANDIN, 6’2 200 – REC (QUEBEC)

The 6’2, 200 pound receiver from Montreal, Quebec is on the radar of several NCAA schools.  This summer, he attended several camps during the summer in the hopes of landing some Division 1 offers.  North of the border, Laval, Sherbrooke and Montreal are among the teams that have expressed interest in the offensive standout.

Normandin is currently suiting up for CEGEP Division 1 team, Vieux-Montreal Spartiates.  During his time with RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s Notre-Dame Cactus, the team won the Bol D’Or Championship. He has also suited up for the Sun Youth Hornets.

7)      (8) HERGY MAYALA, 6’2 190 – REC (QUEBEC)

The 6’2, 195 pound wide receiver/defensive back from Montreal, Quebec has received offer from several NCAA schools including Rutgers, UCONN, Buffalo, UMASS and Old Dominion. North of the border, Mayala has been contacted by McMaster Marauders and Montreal Carabins.

Currently, Mayala is suiting up for New York prep school team Trinity-Pawling Pride.  Previous to the Pride, he has played for both the North Shore Lions and the North Shore Mustangs.

Throughout his career, the Quebec standout has been honoured for his play on the field.  Among the honours include Lions Linebacker MVP and Mustangs Wide Receiver MVP.

Colton Hunchak 3

8)      (9) COLTON HUNCHUK, 6’1 180 – ATH (ALBERTA)

The 6’1, 180 pound athlete from Calgary, Alberta led the Calgary Mavericks of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA) to the Tier 1 Championship Game this past spring.

Hunchak has guided the Notre Dame Pride of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) to two Provincial Tier 1 Championships.  While he has visited the University of Alberta Golden Bears, his heart’s desire is to play in the NCAA.

9)   (7) JAKOB BUTLER, 6’1 205 – LB (ALBERTA)

The 6’1, 205 pound linebacker from Sherwood Park, Alberta is currently playing his senior year with the Salisbury Sabres of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA).

Cedric Joseph

10) (12) CEDRIC JOSEPH, 6’1 197 RB (QUEBEC)

The newest kid on the block on the TOP 10, the 6’1, 197 running back from Montreal, Quebec is currently playing for CEGEP Division 1’s Champlain Lennoxville Cougars.  He also suited up for the North Shore Mustangs.
