CFC 100 recruit envisions Hardy Cup with Golden Bears

Yorkton offensive lineman becomes third CFC 100 recruit to join CWUAA team.

Peter Kozushka found the right academic and gridiron home.

Recently, the 6’7, 310 pound offensive lineman from Yorkton, Saskatchewan committed to the University of Alberta Golden Bears.  The CFC 100 recruit will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.

“I chose to commit to the University of Alberta because I feel that they were the perfect fit for me,” explained Kozushka of his decision.  “They have one of the top engineering programs in the country and Coach [Chris] Morris has every academic support available to his players.”

“I also feel that the Golden Bears team has a great shot to win a Hardy Cup in the near future due to the direction that this program is headed. I feel like I can contribute to this team and their goals.”

Recently, the CFC 100 offensive lineman played for the Yorkton Regional Raiders of the Moose Jaw High School Football League (MJHSFL).  This past season, the Raiders racked up a 7-2 record en route to an appearance in the league Championship Final.

With Kozushka’s commitment, he becomes the third CFC 100 recruit to sign with the Golden Bears.  Quarterback Cody Stevens and linebacker Brett Van Der Korput are the other CFC 100 players to join the team.
