CFC 100 running back hopes to conquer challenges with Redmen (VIDEO)

CEGEP running back becomes second CFC 100 recruit to join RSEQ team.

The McGill Redmen landed their second CFC 100 recruit just before the CIS blackout began.

Mike Brian Lusikila committed to the Redmen last month.Β  The 6’0, 198 pound running back from Montreal, Quebec will join the RSEQ team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

β€œI committed to McGill because of the prestige of the school,” explained the CFC 100 recruit of his decision.Β  β€œI wanted to be challenged by going to an English university and McGill was a good one for me.”

β€œFootball wise, McGill is still under construction but I really liked the fact that they have a young group of coaches that are very talented, know what they’re doing and changing the philosophy into being a great team. The offensive system of Pat Boies looks a bit like my old one from CEGEP Vieux-Montreal so iIm going to be familiar with it. I also have some good friends at McGill and they have a lot of plans for me on the field.”

Mike Brian Lusikila commitment

Recently, Lusikila completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Vieux-Montreal Spartiates.Β  This past season, he rushed for 638 yards on 138 carries and scored five touchdowns in six games.Β  He was sidelined the last four games of the season due to an injury. The Spartiates won the Bol D’Or in late November.

Lusikila is the second CFC 100 recruit that has committed to the Redmen.Β  Earlier in the recruiting season, offensive lineman Jordan Hurley signed with the RSEQ team.
