Jean-Sorphia Guillaume ( aka Coach Jean) was born in Plaine du Nord, Haiti, he lived shortly in Montreal and later in Miami. Prior to completing several Bachelor degrees in Sociology, Social Services, Education and a Master in Social work at the University of Ottawa.

However his passion for Humanities and Social Sciences did not appear overnight. At a young age, while he was coaching football, his friends and co-workers got to appreciate and see his leadership spirit through the actions that he was taking to resolve social conflicts through all the events he organized within communities in Montreal.

Growing up, he was highly recruited by several CEGEPs and Universities. He also received several invitations to American University Football Camps. He ended his career with the Carabins of the University of Montreal.

In 2000 he completed two college degrees: One in Social

Sciences and a second one in International Studies at Vanier College where he was an all-star defensive back. Shortly after, his dedication turned to the youth in need in Montreal, he decided to pursue his studies at the University of Ottawa. His values and his commitment to others collaborated to his election as Vice President Social Affairs of the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa.

After his arrival in Ottawa, he did not hesitate to get involve in the community by coaching football, being a child youth councilor, a mentor of a transitional home and a substitute teacher. Driven by strong values such as integrity, social justice and respect, Coach Jean never ceases to transmit his joy of life to the youth and his surroundings. Recently ( 2016) as the Head Coach of the St-Matthew Tigers he led the team to a city championship and a Metro Bowl ( OFSSA) AAA championship. His carrer record is 14 win and 3 lost.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
