CFC National Playoff countdowns & predictions (RSEQ Juvenile 1): “Obviously it is a big game for us”

Today, CFC continues its exclusive coverage of “National Playoff Countdowns & Predictions”.  Some of these teams are currently ranked in the ‘CFC TOP 50‘ high school poll this season.

In this next installment, Jean-Francois Boisvert, Offensive Coordinator of CFC#10 Seminaire Saint-Francois Blizzard gives his thoughts and outlook on the team’s RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 championship on Saturday against CFC#9 College Notre Dame Cactus.

CFC #10 SEMINAIRE SAINT-FRANCOIS BLIZZARD VERSUS CFC #9 COLLEGE NOTRE DAME CACTUS:

“Obviously it is a big game for us. It is going to be a tough game against a great team and program.”

Those are the thoughts of Jean-Francois Boisvert, Offensive Coordinator of CFC # 10 Seminaire Saint-Francois Blizzard as the team makes final preparations before their championship game battle against CFC # 9 College Notre Dame Cactus.

Both teams are pretty familiar with each other and it has become one matchup in RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 that is greatly anticipated annually.

“It will be the fourth time we have faced off in the playoffs in the last five years and the third time in the finals,” added Boisvert.  “It has become a big rivalry, but a healthy one.”

“There is great respect between the two organizations.”

In their most recent meeting on October 5th, the Blizzard got past the Cactus 24-18. There is one Cactus offensive threat the Blizzard must stop from generating anything on the field.

“They have one of the most explosive player in the league, Francois Rocheleau,” said Boisvert.

While the Blizzard come into the final with inexperience and youth as half of their starting roster is comprised of grade 10 players, there is one advantage the team will have that will help them in the game.

“There are no personal egos,” explained Boisvert. “Everybody works for the common purpose.”

Chrystopher Landry, Patrick Serre, Simon Pierre Latulippe,  Felix Hamel, Laurence Poirier Viens and William Plante will play a prominent role in the Blizzard’s game execution plan.

“Too early to tell, honestly,” expressed Boisvert of  the plan of attack against the Cactus.  “We’re going to need to play a perfect game.”

“Both lines will dictate the success of our team.”

PREDICTION: Seminaire Saint-Francois Blizzard 24, College Notre Dame 17.
