Class of 2028 DB Dexter Bradbury out of Bear Creek Secondary in Barrie, Ontario was born in Reading, England, a detail that already separates his football story from most prospects heading into the CFC Prospect Game on TSN in Hamilton.

Football was never supposed to be the obvious path.

Bradbury grew up in a family surrounded more by rugby and soccer culture than Canadian football, but once he stepped onto the field at eight years old, the connection happened instantly. The physical nature of the game grabbed him right away, but it was the structure and accountability of football that really locked him in.

Over the last several years, Bradbury has quietly built one of the more impressive rΓ©sumΓ©s among defensive backs in Ontario’s Class of 2028. The journey started with TNT Football Club before stops with the York Lions, Team Ontario, Huronia Stallions, and now 6ixSide Elite helped sharpen different parts of his game.

The awards followed naturally, including Team Ontario Final Defensive MVP, Simcoe County First Team All-Star honours, and multiple MVP awards throughout his youth football career. The production backs it up too. As a Grade 9 junior player, Bradbury piled up 884 rushing yards, 133 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns. One year later on varsity, he recorded 64 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles.

No it’s time for Bradbury to prove he can perform on the national stage.
