Class of 2028 DT Ty Clarke out of Clarkson Football North in Mississauga, Ontario already sounds like somebody who understands what high-level competition is supposed to look like.
The Burlington native has not been playing football for very long compared to many prospects in the CFC Prospect Game on TSN, but the growth curve has been steep. Clarke only started playing in Grade 9 when he entered high school, yet in a short amount of time he has already collected championships at nearly every level he has touched.

Before arriving at Football North for Grade 11, Clarke attended Corpus Christi where he first started building his reputation as a physical defensive lineman with a relentless motor. The move to Football North elevated things even further. Suddenly every practice featured top competition, bigger bodies, faster athletes, and constant pressure to improve.
There is also a strong loyalty in the way he talks about the people who helped him along the way.
Clarke repeatedly points to coach Leroy Ackom as one of the most important influences in his football journey. who recently earned a coaching position with the Toronto Argonauts. To him, Coach Leroy was never just somebody teaching football drills. He became someone Clarke trusted on and off the field while learning how to handle adversity, stay disciplined, and mature as a young athlete.
Recruiting attention is already starting to follow. Clarke has visited several NCAA programs including Northwestern, Missouri, Tulsa, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, Miami of Ohio, and others while continuing to build interest on both sides of the border. His dream U Sports destination is Western, while Miami of Ohio stands out as his ideal NCAA fit.
Heading into Hamilton, Clarke sounds motivated by more than simply participating. He wants to prove he belongs among the countryβs top defensive linemen and continue building his reputation on a national stage.
