Class of 2027 OT Reed Johnson out of North Battleford Comprehensive High School in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, talks about football in a way that feels rooted in where he comes from. For him, the sport has always been tied to community, toughness, and representing something bigger than himself every time he steps on the field.

That mentality started back in Grade 6 with Battlefords Minor Football Bucks, and has only grown stronger through his years with the Vikings. Johnson is the kind of lineman who values the details most people never notice. Physical football. Accountability. Relationships inside the locker room. Earning respect from teammates and coaches. It is easy to understand why offensive line became the natural fit.
The Saskatchewan product also carries a classic Prairie football personality. Hockey in the winter. Golf, hunting, and fishing whenever there is free time. Football is clearly the main focus now, but the small-town multi-sport background still shows up in how he approaches competition and physicality.
Now Johnson gets the opportunity to take that mentality onto a national stage in Hamilton.
