Class of 2027 WR Louis-Simon Lapointe out of Séminaire Saint-François in Québec City, Québec, comes from a province that has built one of the strongest football cultures in the country.

For years, Quebec has produced disciplined, technically polished players who understand structure, preparation, and physical football. Lapointe grew up watching players like Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Anthony Auclair make the jump from Quebec football to the NFL, and that matters when you are a young athlete trying to picture your own future in the sport. It makes the dream feel real.

Lapointe first started playing football in sixth grade, and the attraction was immediate. The physicality drew him in, but it was never just about collisions or highlights. He talks about leadership, effort, and the constant work required to improve year after year. That mindset has helped him become part of one of the better football environments in Quebec at Séminaire Saint-François, where expectations are high and competition rarely takes a day off.

The receiver also carries himself like someone who understands the details behind winning football. There is no over-the-top self promotion in the way he speaks. Instead, he consistently circles back to discipline, improvement, and proving himself through work.

Back in 2024, Lapointe averaged 19.5 yards per catch while putting up 312 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That kind of efficiency jumps off the page because it speaks to explosiveness. He may not be piling up dozens of short catches, but when the football gets into his hands, meaningful plays tend to follow.

The influence of Travis Kelce also shows up in the way he views offence. Lapointe admires Kelce’s route running, awareness, and ability to deliver in critical moments, which says plenty about the type of receivers he studies.

Away from football, Lapointe also played basketball and competed in alpine skiing growing up, two sports that naturally build balance, coordination, and body control. Those traits translate well to the receiver position, especially in Canadian football where spacing and timing are everything.

Now Hamilton becomes another opportunity to test himself against some of the top prospects in the country.
