Class of 2027 OL Parker McBane out of St. Joseph in Ottawa, Ontario did not grow up dreaming about highlight catches or touchdowns. He grew up watching offensive linemen bury defenders on Sundays.

Born and raised in Ottawa, McBane is part of the next wave of talent coming out of the St. Joseph Jaguars program, a school that has quietly become one of the more consistent producers of trench talent in Eastern Ontario football. While many players begin their football journey at a young age, McBane only started playing in the summer of 2023 with the Myers Riders in the OSFL.
Since stepping onto the field, the St. Joseph lineman has already become a two-time city champion, a two-time city all-star, and one of the more reliable blockers in the region. His stat line says plenty about the type of player he is. One sack allowed in five years and six seasons of football.
McBane credits a lot of his football inspiration to NFL Hall of Famer Larry Allen. That checks out immediately once you hear him talk about the position. He respects the athleticism required to dominate in the trenches and appreciates the work offensive linemen put in without always receiving attention for it.
Away from football, he grew up playing competitive hockey and baseball before eventually focusing more heavily on football. These days he still spends time golfing with friends, while also competing in shot put and discus with the track team at school. He is also involved with the athletic council at St. Joseph, adding another layer to his leadership profile.
The biggest thing McBane seems to understand already is opportunity.
After missing the CFC Prospect Game tryout process the previous year because of injury, he entered this year with a different mentality. That experience made him appreciate how quickly opportunities can disappear in football.
Now he heads to Hamilton ready to test himself against the best linemen in the country.
