PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

July 30th, 2011 01:00pm Rocky DiPietro Field
Brampton Bulldogs @ Sault Ste Marie Sabercats
Rematch of week 1 game where the Bulldogs outlasted the Sabercats 28 to 24. SSM has improved since then and Brampton has been up and down. Sabercats felt ‘cheated’ in that game complaining about the officials.
Sabercats 29 Bulldogs 23
July 30th, 2011 02:00pm Birchmount Stadium
Etobicoke Eagles @ Toronto Thunder
Another week 1 rematch. In that game Toronto won in Overtime but lost due to ineligible players. Always a great game when these two cross-town rivals meet. Thunder running attack is the difference.
Thunder 39 Eagles 29
July 30th, 2011 06:00pm Millennium Park
Kingston Grenadiers @ Cumberland Panthers
These teams battled in the most defensive game of the year in week 6 with the Panthers winning 3 to 0. Cumberland has since turned up the offense in their last 2 games against Etobicoke and Toronto.
Panthers 25 Grenadiers 15
July 30th, 2011 08:00pm Kiwanis Field
Mississauga Warriors @ Niagara Spears
Warriors lost the first 4 games of the year then went on a 4 game winning streak to make the playoffs including a 21 to 5 victory over the Spears two weeks ago. Discipline will be key in this game.
Spears 17 Warriors 13

Predators @ Stampeders
Rematch of week 4 game when the Stampeders held on for a 24 to 19 victory. The Preds’ felt they did not play their best game and were down a few injured players. Heath, poise, and QB play will be key in this game.
Stampeders 29 Predators 22

Stallions @ Gladiators
After a slow start to the season the Stallions have shown much improvement including a week 5 victory over the Gladiators 52 to 17. The Gladiators won the week 2 battle 41 to 22 setting up a great ‘rubber-match’ game.
Stallions 39 Gladiators 29

Brampton Bulldogs @ Mississauga Warriors
‘Battle of Peel’ is always a great game. Week 5 proved that when the Warriors squeaked out a 42 to 36 victory. Expect this to be much of the same.
Warriors 36 Bulldogs 32
July 30th, 2011 03:30pm Essex High School
Niagara Spears @ Essex Ravens
The Ravens have steadily improved since the beginning of the year while the Spears have had their ups and downs. The two teams did not face one another in the regular season. If the Spears can shut down the run game of Eli Fera then expect a win.
Spears 25 Ravens 19
July 30th, 2011 11:00am Birchmount Stadium
Oshawa Hawkeyes @ Toronto Thunder
The Hawkeyes defeated the Thunder in week 5 by a score of 33 to 27. Since then the Thunder have won three straight and the Hawkeyes have lost 2 of 3. Expect the Thunder defense to bounce back.
Thunder 27 Hawkeyes 14
July 30th, 2011 03:00pm Millennium Field
Kingston Grenadiers @ Cumberland Panthers
It is always difficult to beat a team twice in one season and even more difficult to beat them in back to back games. The Panthers won decisively 35 to 16 in the last week of the regular season. The difference between these two teams is offensive production. If the Grens’ can minimize their mistakes and score in the red zone this could be an upset.
Grenadiers 17 Panthers 16

Predators @ Stampeders
There is no one as good as the Stampeders in the Junior Varsity OFC.
Stampeders 44 Predators 12

Titans @ Stallions
Both teams finished the regular season with 5-2-1 records. In week 1 they battled to a 9 to 9 tie. The Stallions only two losses are to the Stampeders while the Titans lost to the Stamps’ and Sturgeon. We think the Stallions have improved more since week 1 but that is why we play the games.
Stallions 25 Titans 19
