The Cheetahs move up and Grasset drops. The Faucons still winless and a surprising win by the Spartiates!

Vanier Receiver #19 Samuel Emilus
#1 Vanier College Cheetahs (VC) 3-1 β After a tough win on the road last week, the Cheetahs again took advantage of the opportunities against the PhΓ©nix. The relentless defence held the #1 offence in the league to one touchdown and stayed collected. They earn the #1 spot and will travel to Limoilou to face the 2-2 Titans.

Champlain QB #12 Thomas Bolduc getting the start last weekend
#2 Champlain-Lennoxville College Cougars (CLC) 3-1 β The loss to the Cheetahs the week before shook this team and they rebounded with a spectacular win against the Notre-Dame-de-Foy team that came in undefeated. The Cougars young secondary held the duo of Pelletier and Forbes-Mombleau, and the rest of the offence to a mere 27 points.

CNDF Receiver #14 Vincent Forbes-Mombleau
#3 Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy Le Notre-Dame (CNDF) 3-1 β Kickers can only do so much. Losing by only two points is tough, but might as well be in the early part of the season, considering this talented group and their potential to finish in the top three.

#4 CollΓ¨ge AndrΓ©-Grasset PhΓ©nix (CAG) 3-1 β Defence wins championships, but the offence needs to produce more than the opponents. The PhΓ©nix were bad on offence not executing and turning the ball over. They are back at #4 and will regroup to face the Faucons next week.

Garneau Receiver #18 Mathieu Blanchette
#5 CΓ©gep Garneau Γlans (CG) 2-2 β The Γlans come away with a win, but are still having problems on defence. The offence gained confidence and showed its colors by putting up 59 points. They move up and are tied with three other teams at 2-2.

Limoilou RB #21 Gabriel Brault
#6 CΓ©gep de Limoilou Titans (CL) 2-2 β The Titans are on a winning spree and their defence is getting better, keeping the Faucons offence away from the end zone. Young QB Olivier Bamrounsavath is showing poise and earning respect.

GΓ©ants QB #3 Dimitri Morand
#7 CΓ©gep de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu GΓ©ants (CSJR) 2-2 β Scoring 35 points wasnβt enough and the GΓ©ants fell to a very well prepared Spartiates team. The Saint-Jean defence was scored on 5 times giving the Vieux-MontrΓ©al offence the privilege to manage the clock.

Vieux-MontrΓ©al LB #35 Julien Le GuΓ©hennec
#8 CΓ©gep du Vieux-MontrΓ©al Spartiates (CVM) 2-2 β An offence that could not produce much in the first three games, redeemed itself by scoring 43 points and defeating the explosive GΓ©ants team. The Spartiates offence led by QB William Roy-Rodriguez, generated 5 touchdowns and Roy-Rodriguez was responsible for two of those. The major factor in this win was the defence limiting the GΓ©ants offence to 35 points.

LΓ©vis-Lauzon RBΒ #27 Joanik Masse
#9 CΓ©gep LΓ©vis-Lauzon Faucons (CLL) 0-4 βΒ What’s wrongΒ in the Fauconsβ nest? The offence did not generate any momentum and the defence could not stop the balanced Titans offence. They are now 0-4 and desperately need a win.

Nomades Receiver #1 Tristan Fiske Casault
#10 CollΓ¨ge Montmorency Nomades (CML) 0-4 β The Nomades offence exploded but the defence wasnβt up to par. The improvement on offence will definitely boost the confidence of the young QB and there might be hope for a win soon.
