#CFC50 High-school (juv. div. 1/1b) RECAP (QC): [3]: Notre-Dame bullied the Condors!

The Cactus and the Blizzard remain undefeated in the juv. 1, while four teams in the juv. 1b are also undefeated. Over 100 points combined were scored in a game including unbelievableΒ numbers by aΒ QB/RB who threwΒ for 533 yards and rushed for 193 yards.

Harfangs QB #5 Lukas Boulanger

Γ‰cole Secondaire Triolet Harfangs (2-1) vs AcadΓ©mie Les Estacades (0-3)

The Estacades’ offence didn’t generate any momentum and their defence couldn’t stop the air show. The Harfangs defence came away with two picks and was not threatened all game long. The Triolet offence, with its starters, produced 374 yards and the QB/RB Lukas Boulanger, completed 11 of 21, 3 touchdowns passes and also rushed for 32 yards in just 4 carries. The other Boulanger on the team, the receiver Gabriel, caught 3 balls for 100, which 2 were for majors, and he rushed for 7 yards, including a major to end the game at 41-9.

Collège Notre-Dame Cactus (3-0) vs Saint-Jean-Eudes Condors (1-1)

This was the game to watch in this division. The rested Saint-Jean-Eudes team turned the ball over on an interception and gave away 3 sacks that slowed their offensive momentum. The Condors could not afford to slow down or commit any mistakes. The Cactus offence took advantage of the opportunities and bulldozed their way to a 31-22 win with 262 yards rushing. The powerful legs of RB ThΓ©odore Seaborn, who ran for 213 yards on 27 carries and 2 for touchdowns, and the offensive line dominated the Condors defence. Saint-Jean-Eudes’ talented RB, Γ‰mile Malenfant, did rush for 133 yards on 15 carries and a major but the Notre-Dame defence prevailed and Thomas Peschlow had another good game with 8 total tackles keeping his team undefeated.

Académie Saint-Louis Arsenal (1-2) vs Collège Jean-Eudes Aigles (1-2)

The Arsenal offence came to play and totalled 484 yards, which 255 passing and 60 rushing were gained by QB/RB Charles Goulet, including a rushing TD. Goulet’s main target was receiver Joel Sioui with 7 catches for 105 yards, seconded by William Tremblay with 4 catches for 70 yards and a major. The AcadΓ©mie Saint-Louis RB, Jabob Verret, also had a good day keeping the Aigles Offenece off the field with 24 carries for 149 yards and a touchdown. Even though Jean-Eudes’ QB, Arnaud Desjardins had another great day completing 14 out of 29 for 190 yards, and their number one RB, Alexandre Gravel rushed for 94 yards on 11 carries, they only managed to score 27 against the Arsenal’s 37 points. The two teams come out with the same record, but the Arsenal gains a boost in confidence, which was needed.

Blizzard RB #27 Kalenga Mugunda

École Secondaire Roger-Comtois Patriotes (0-2) vs Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard (3-0)

Another second half, for the third week in a row, that was played on running time. The Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard overpowered the Patriotes in all phases of the game. The Blizzard attack was dominant with QB Raphaël Latulippe completing 8 out of 11 for 101 yards and 3 touchdowns, while RB Kalenga Muganda racked-up 206 yards on 14 carries and two of them ending in the end zone. The defence, led by LB Étienne Amiot who also carries the ball on offence, finished with 5 tackles and helped his team remain undefeated with the final score of 51-7.

Commandeurs QB/RB #12 Tristan Blais

École Secondaire Armand-Corbeil Scorpions (3-0) vs Collège de Lévis Commandeurs (1-2)

This was not a passing frenzy, it was a scoring fiesta. The Scorpions did surprise the Commandeurs by generating 820 total yards on offence to win this offensive dual by a score of 59-50. The Commandeurs duel threat QB/RB Tristan Blais threw for 533 yards in 28 out of 39 with three touchdowns, and rushed for 193 yards in 15 carries including 2 majors, but throwing 2 interceptions that cost them the game. In a shoot-out like this, if you don’t score one drive, you are behind and the Scorpions stayed ahead and remain undefeated thanks to the 375 yards rushing of RB #22 DantΓ© Tortorici.

École Secondaire Jacques-Rousseau Sphinx (0-3) vs Collège Charles-Lemoyne Dynamiques (1-2)

Collège Charles-Lemoyne QB/Kicker, Gabriel Cyr-Dandurand, helped his team win their first game of the 2016 season, not with his arm, but with his foot. Rushing for 34 yards in 7 carries and kicking three field goals to win this one. He also threw for 81 yards and a touchdown pass. The Sphinx lose by the score of 15-16 and remain winless.

SΓ©minaire Saint-Joseph Vert et Or (2-1) vs Γ‰cole Secondaire Saint-Stanislas Patriotes (2-0)

This was the match-up of the week in this division. The newcomers, Saint-Stanislas Patriotes, did face a division 1 veteran team with a multi threat QB/RB Charles Cossette who completed 19 out of 33 for 297 yards and rushed for 12 yards including a major. But Cossette’s interception proved to be costly. The Patriotes QB, FΓ©lix Marsolais, completed 11 out of 17 for 170 yards and a touchdown to help his team control the game and come away with a 25-21 victory. With 2 sacks and an interception, CΓ©dric Thomas was a game changer, but the hero of the game was Patriotes kicker, Roberto De Angelis who put 2 through the up-rights to seal the deal.

Corsaires QB/RB #7 Adrien Guay

Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes Centurions (0-3) vs Γ‰cole Secondaire Pointe-LΓ©vy Corsaires (2-0)

The Corsaires are 2-0 their spectacular QB/RB Adrien Guay, did most of the work in,Β  kicking all of the converts, punts and kick-offs, while completing 21 out of 32 for 336 yards and rushing 11 times for 151 yards, which 3 were for touchdowns. Guay did throw 4 TD passes and receiver Simon GiguΓ¨re caught 11 passes for 118 yards and scored a touchdown. Another receiver averaged 26.3 yards per catch for a total of 105 yards in 4 catches with 2 td’s. The Centurions offence was harassed and limited by the Pointe-LΓ©vy defence who managed 3 sacks and 3 picks to win the game 49-17.
