It was a big weekend for CFC100 Class of 2023 OL Andrew Lowry out of CFC50 Huron Heights, who announced his commitment to Miami (OH).

NCAA COMMITS

It’s been an amazing whirlwind year for the 6’8, 285lbs prospect, who first helped Huron Heights finally reach the summit of the CFC50 High School Rankings after defeating the reigning kings CFC50 St. Thomas More in the OFSAA Independent Bowl.

With momentum on his side, Lowry hit the USA circuit in the spring with his first offer coming from Eastern Michigan at the end of May after impressing the coaches at their camp day. He continued to mine for offers attending camps at Florida State, Mercer, Valdosta State and Kennesaw State before eventually grabbing his next pair of offers from Kent State and Butler. The defining moment of his camp journey came after taking a trip to Miami (OH), who sent him home with another offer to consider after a wild two weeks of recruiting action. After taking another camp visit to Buffalo and an official visit with Eastern Michigan, Lowry took some time to mull over his options before finally deciding that Miami (OH) is where he wanted to continue his football career.

CFC100 CLASS OF 2023 RANKINGS

Lowry is the only Canadian prospect to receive an offer from Miami (OH) from the Class of 2023, and is the first Canadian commit we’ve tracked for the RedHawks since DL Mitchell Winters back in 2012. He was recently ranked as the 11th best prospect on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Rankings, and is now the 13th member of the Class of 2023 to announce their NCAA commitment.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
