CFC100 commit saw Rams as ‘best fit’

Rams add a top local product to their 2019 class.

CFC100 Dominique Dheilly, a slotback from Dr. Martin LeBoldus Catholic High School, needs no introduction to the University of Regina Rams.

β€œIt was the best fit for me and felt they saw potential in me, having played under most of these coaches during Team Sask,” he said. β€œMany of these coaches have coached me in the past, so I feel like they know my style of play and see different ways of getting me involved.”

He added that he has former teammates on the Rams, which helped with his decision. β€œ(I’m) also excited to be back with Josh Donnelly, who was my quarterback all throughout high school, Team Sask and the Selects,” Dheilly said.

In his nine-years of football, Dheilly has racked up several awards. In high school, the product of Regina, Saskatchewan, was a member of the LeBoldus Golden Suns (RHSAA). He won two city championships in 2015 and 2016 and was a city finalist in 2017 and 2018. He won a 2018 Phillis Shwann Award, which is for leadership. In 27 games with the Suns, the 6’0, 175lbs athlete had 83 receptions for 1400 yards and 16 touchdowns. He averaged 16 yards per reception.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
