CEGEP defensive back joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class, becomes third #CFC100 recruit to commit
Adam Auclair will be beginning his CIS career in his home province.
Recently, the 6’2, 200 pound defensive back from Beauce, Quebec committed to Laval Rouge et Or. Auclair will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.
Auclair becomes the third #CFC100 recruit to choose the Rouge et Or. The others are receiver Marc-Antoine Pivin and offensive lineman Samuel Lefebvre.
Ultimately, the strength of the football program and the ability to pursue his academic pursuits tipped the scale in the Rouge et Or’s favour.
“The main reason is school,” commented the Quebec defensive standout on his decision. “The Marketing program was something that I was very interested in.”
“Also the facilities (gym, football field) were something that helped me make my decision because I wanted to go somewhere where I would be able to become a better football athlete and the installations that they have can help me for sure. The coaching staff is incredible and the players are working all together and the team spirit is nice!”
This past fall, Auclair helped CEGEP Division 1 team, Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars win the Bol D’Or Championship. In 2015, he was selected as a CEGEP Division 1 All-Star.
