#CFC100: Ontario East’s Best (VIDEO)

With this month’s release of the #CFC100, a new set of players have been introduced as the best of the best in the nation.

Continuing today, CFC will give you a backgrounder on the one that have made the cut in each province.  In this next installment, here is an introduction to the Ontario East’s #CFC100 players:

ONTARIO EAST’S #CFC100 RANKED PLAYERS:

Patrice Rene Rivals

CFC#1 PATRICE RENE – 6’1 190 DB, EPISCOPAL MAROON:

Since June 2013, Rene has racked up over 20 NCAA offers.  His first offers originally came from Akron Zips and Syracuse Orange.

The latest ones to come the 6’1, 190 pound defensive end from Ottawa’s way are from Minnesota Gophers (June 3rd) and Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Rene is expected to make his decision by late July and has disclosed his top five schools: North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio State, Rutgers and Virginia Tech

Not only has his recruitment process translated into success but the defensive back is has been selected as one of 400 nominees for the US Army All-American Bowl.  Rene will know by December if he will be one of the 90 players that will be chosen to play in the Bowl game on Saturday January 9th at Alamodome in San Antonia, Texas.

The defensive standout is currently suiting up south of the border for Episcopal Maroon in Alexandra, Virginia.  Previous to the Maroon, Rene has suited up for the St. Peter Knights of the National Capital Secondary School Athletic Association (NCSSAA) and Orleans Bengals of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA). He trains at Gridiron Academy with Victor Tedondo.
