Toronto athlete joins OUA team’s 2016 class
Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks have announced the addition of #CFC100 Esson Hamilton to their football program.
Hamilton, the 6’1, 185 pound athlete from Toronto, Ontario will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.
“Esson is a terrific athlete with outstanding arm strength,” commented Golden Hawks Head Coach Michael Faulds. “He is eager to come in and compete and I’m excited to coach him.”
The athlete helped the Chaminade Gryphons of the Toronto District Catholic Athletic Association (TDCAA) to both the League Championship as well as an appearance in the OFSAA Bowl Fesitval Series in 2015.
With his commitment, Hamilton is the fifth #CFC100 to sign with the Golden Hawks.
For this part, the athlete chose the Golden Hawks because he believes the OUA team provides him the best opportunity to excel on and off the field.
“Laurier is the best fit academically and athletically for me,” elaborated Hamilton. “I would love to help bring a championship to this program.”
