CFC100 Seth Hundeby commits to Saskatchewan

The University of Saskatchewan received a commitment from homegrown talent for 2020.

CFC100 Seth Hundeby, a linebacker from CFC50 Holy Cross High School in Saskatoon, decided to stay local when choosing a destination for university.

The opportunity to play for a quality football program while being surrounded by family and friends was, as he put it, “the perfect fit,” when making his decision. He is also the Huskies’ first official commitment for 2020.

“The atmosphere in the clubhouse was exactly what I was looking for and it’s a high-quality football program,” said Hundeby.

Hundeby was the defensive MVP of the 2019 Football Canada Cup, along with two individual game MVPs in the tournament, and was the 2017 defensive MVP for Holy Cross. He doesn’t model his game around any particular player but instead knows he can play fast and physical to leave a lasting impression on each game he plays.

“I’m very hard working and always polite,” said Hundeby. “I always strive to improve and never give up. I enjoy encouraging my fellow teammates to be the best that they can be.”

His biggest inspirations are his parents. “They’ve helped me and helped me to become the athlete and player that I am today,” said Hundeby.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
