In the game of football it takes a special type of person to be a lineman. With few exceptions lineman are not celebrated in the same way that the skilled position players are. They work within a unit in which one player’s mistake can be enough to ruin a play despite the efforts of their fellow lineman. Be it one missed block, assignment, etc. the success of an offensive and defensive line is predicated on the whole not the individual.
It is with this in mind that I want to introduce you to CFC100 Ty Anderson, starting centre and defensive tackle for the Centennial Coyotes out of Calgary. Ty still has one year remaining of high school ball to play, but has already played for 7 years. And it is all the intangibles I mentioned above that has sparked his love for the game.
