Welcome back to CFC40 Draft Watch, where we look at Canadian football players eligible for the upcoming CFL and NFL Drafts.
Todayβs player of focus is Purdue OL Giordano Vaccaro out of Winnipeg, who burst onto the national scene in the inaugural CFC Prospect Game on TSN.
Player Overview
Purdue OL Giordano Vaccaro joined the Boilermakers this year after having one of the most decorated U Sports careers of all-time for an offensive lineman. Before joining the Big Ten program as a graduate transfer this past January, the 6β3β, 315lbs interior lineman spent three dominant years at the University of Manitoba.
Upon arriving on campus at Manitoba, Vaccaro quickly got to work rewriting the record books becoming the first true freshman to start at left tackle under head coach Brian Dobie in his 29-year tenure. After a strong rookie season, he slid inside to guard for 2023, where he earned First Team All-Canadian honours as a sophomore.
