No. 1 St. Thomas More Knights (1-0, 1-0) – The Knights were up 19-0 at the half before Bishop Ryan could put some points on the board making the final score 32-6. STM is starting just where they left off last season and we don’t see them slowing down any time soon. Up next? St. Jean de Brebeuf.

No. 2 St. Francis Browns (2-0) – The Browns played a tough Raymond team and beat them this past weekend 24-14  in Calgary (Football Alberta confirmed score). With two strong wins under their belt, they head into this week preparing for the Ernest Manning Griffins.

No. 3 Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard (3-0) – This was a close one folks. Collège Charles-Lemoyne came out on the short end of the stick losing only 17-14 to the provincial power. Remaining undefeated, the Blizzard will match up against Académie Saint-Louis this weekend.

No. 4 Holy Names Knights (Windsor) (0-2) – Holy Names will finally come into their regular season with a game against Cardinal Carter.

No. 5 Catholic Central Crusaders (1-1) – The Crusaders lost 40-19 against Detroit Loyola in Michigan this past weekend.

Who’s getting ranked?

For the tenth year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the CFC50.

The CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are classified as non-conference games) and forfeit* wins are not considered towards overall record.

How is the CFC50 evaluated?

Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man rural / 4A / Schwann, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1.

The CFC50 is a RELATIVE RANKING that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province) and the strength of the league. Additional criteria used to determine the relative ranking are the ability to accomplish winning a championship, the impact players and performers on that team (ie. CFC100s, CDN All-Stars etc.), and a team’s coaching and recent tradition.

The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis. The CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.
